Corn which is normally known as "Makki" in Himachal & In Mandi District also, is a Good & Healthy food for winter season. Mainly in hilly areas where you need to keep a lot of energy for saving yourself with cold weather, Makki is the best way. it is commonly referred as "Garm" which means it saves you with cold weather and keep your body Hot. ! 

How to Serve:- Mainly served with "Sarson Ka Sag" which is a Geen vegitable for you and of cource it is healthy !

Ingredients:

  • Cornmeal (makki ka atta) 1 cups
  • Butter - 1 piece

Method:
Step 1
Knead cornmeal with luke warm water to make a soft dough. Divide the dough into equal circular shaped balls.
Step 2
Wet your palms with water and pat each ball between dampened palms to make a roti of 5 rupees coin thickness. If your hands get dried keep using a little water.
Step 3
Now, put the roti on heated tawa (Griddle). Keep tawa on moderate heat until one side of roti is half done. Now, turn over the roti and spread some butter over the surface of roti.
Step 4
Same ways as above turn over the roti and spread some butter on the other side. When both sides get little golden brown, take off the roti.  
Serve hot on a plate with a dollop of butter or with green mustard leave vegetable or with dal or curd.
